The New MITREX

Real estate practitioners need timely data and analyses to make optimal market decisions. The MIT Real Estate Exchange (MITREX) is an exclusive site for compiling and posting critical information, and sharing it with selected professionals in a secure online environment.

MITREX brings key information to the real estate professional. Compiling research results, graduate theses, case studies, presentations, and market information, MITREX is a rich online library focused on real estate theory and practice.

First launched in 2003 by the MIT Center for Real Estate, MITREX is a comprehensive knowledge base for the real estate industry, spanning the fields of design, planning, development, construction, management, brokerage, economics, and the law.

Now in its latest version (2.0, released January 2007) MITREX brings a streamlined interface and more powerful features including job postings, easier navigation, a larger library of resources, and more sophisticated search & sort tools.

Key to MITREX is the personal profile. Members quickly create individual profiles to focus on specific regions, topics, and industry sectors. Members can also post documents and links, joining an online community of information sharing.

As the MITREX community grows, new features are continually added to bring users more power and value. MITREX evolves as its membership evolves Ð serving as both voice and ear for members and partners of the MIT Center for Real Estate.
